At TechEducation, tech meets education – literally – whether that is at external events or at our Phoenix Contact facilities. Lately, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of trainers and students from BBS II Wolfsburg and Volkswagen at our Training Center in Schieder to learn about our concepts for vocational training and education. Phoenix Contact Electronics opened its gates for an in-depth company tour around building IOT, which was great to experience how building automation theory could be applied in the industry.
Teachers and students visit us regularly, but we are also active in various associations supporting technical education and qualification such as the New Automation e.V. and ZVEI e.V. We are keen on supporting diverse learning formats and projects such as the RoboCup Germany; a competition for youth in intelligent robotics. Amongst the 800 participants, were roughly 30 international teams as well the 200 best school teams from Germany.
In addition to all the technological innovations at the Hannover fair, we are happy to celebrate our longstanding partner the David-Roentgen-Schule and ThorstenSchumacher, for winning the teaching flagship project award (Leuchtturmprojekt 2024) with their students and the digital twin project. This is a great example of what can be achieved with a passion for technology and innovation!
